Anti Wrinkle Treatments

Smooth skin is key for a healthy and youthful appearance.

As we age, the skin becomes less elastic. Supporting fat and bone also decrease gradually. These changes result in the formation of skin creases.

Anti wrinkle treatments can be used to address these changes and to relax underlying muscles to give a more youthful and fresh appearance.

All treatments are subject to a medical consultation with Dr Sam. A courtesy follow-up appointment is offered after 2-4 weeks to assess the result and make any required adjustments

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the procedure involve?

After a consultation and facial assessment, a series of small injections will be made using a fine needle into overactive muscles. These muscles will become temporarily paralysed causing wrinkles to be diminished.

Does it hurt?

The needles used for administration of the injections are so fine that most people rarely feel anything more than a slight pinching sensation.

How long will it last?

Results are normally seen within 7 - 14 days. First treatments typically last around 3 months. The more you keep up with the treatments the longer they will last meaning you could eventually gain up to 9-12 months from each treatment.

Are there any side effects?

As with any treatments, there are associated side effects, the most common ones are redness, swelling and bruising. There are other rarer side effects including headache, allergic reactions, infection, visual disturbances or heaviness in the eyelids which can be avoided through a safe injection technique and by following the aftercare that you will be given. Whilst these side effects are rare, if they do occur they are temporary and can often be corrected.

Is there any downtime?

After your treatment you will be able to return to most normal activities. It is advised that you avoid any extremes of temperature such as steam rooms and saunas for 48 hours. You will be reviewed by doctor after 2 to 4 weeks and any top ups or adjustments required will be provided free of charge.

What is the cost?

An initial consultation with facial assessment and determination of suitability of treatments is free.
Prices for wrinkle treatments are from £160 for one area with additional areas priced from £50.
